A voucher with “protection” in its name sounds safe. The fine print tells a narrower story. The OKX DCD Voucher gives selected USDT buy low orders on this crypto exchange a capped reward when the price ends below target.
It covers the first 5,000 USDT, counts a drop of up to 10%, and pays 500 USDT at most. Two more rules matter. The order must convert at expiry with the voucher applied, and redeeming early cancels the reward.
Everything below follows the official campaign FAQ, published November 3, 2026, and checked on November 4, 2026.
The DCD Protection Reward-Voucher is a campaign perk attached to selected Dual Investment Buy Low orders. Dual Investment is the main product. The voucher adds a separate reward, but only when certain rules are met.
OKX is a crypto exchange, and this voucher is one of its campaign offers. Its Dual Investment FAQ calls the main product non-principal-protected. So the voucher is a small cushion, not full protection.
Buy Low starts with USDT. The user picks a crypto, a term, and a target price set below today’s market price. The OKX Dual Investment page lists live products and terms.
At expiry, the price decides the result. If it stays above the target, the USDT comes back with the stated return. If it ends at or below the target, the USDT turns into the crypto at the target price.
That switch is the key moment. The voucher only matters after it happens. Terms like target price are explained in a crypto dictionary for anyone new to this.
Voucher eligibility decides whether an order is covered. Reward-eligibility decides whether that cover pays. The first is checked when the order is placed. The second is checked only at expiry.
An order gets the voucher when it meets these points:
It is a buy-low quote labelled “Voucher” on the campaign page
It is placed in USDT
The amount is at least 500 USDT
One voucher is used for one order only
Availability may differ by account and country. The campaign and its quotes should show up in the account before subscribing.
The OKX DCD Voucher is claimed on the campaign page, and the clock starts right away. It stays valid for one hour. In that time, the user picks a crypto, a term, and a quote, then taps Subscribe.
One step is easy to miss. The voucher has to be selected on the order page before the order is submitted. If it isn’t, the order isn’t covered.
A failed or canceled order doesn’t use up the voucher, but the one-hour timer keeps running. Once it ends, the voucher expires and can’t be claimed again in the same campaign. The crypto FAQs cover other basics for first-time users.
All four of these must be true:
The order converts at expiry.
The final average settlement price is below the target price.
The voucher was successfully applied to the order.
The order wasn’t redeemed early.
A price exactly at the target can trigger conversion, but it doesn’t earn the reward. The reward-needs a price strictly below the target.
OKX works out the expiry price as the average index price over the final 30 minutes before expiry. Its system records a price point every 200 milliseconds and averages them all.
This replaced the older one-hour window on March 18, 2026. For the usual 16:00 UTC+8 expiry, that means 15:30 to 16:00. A brief dip alone doesn’t decide the result, and each order’s own terms stay the reference. The OKX settlement-price calculation update explains the change.
Settlement result | Buy Low Conversion? | Voucher-reward? |
Price above target | No | No |
Price exactly at target. | Yes | No |
Price below target | Yes | Yes, if all conditions are met. |
Fast Bitcoin market moves can push an order into any of these three rows.
The formula is simple: covered amount × covered drop below the target price.
Detail | Official rule |
Covered amount | First 5,000 USDT |
Covered drop | Actual drop, capped at 10% |
Maximum reward | 500 USDT per voucher |
OKX gives two examples. A 5,000 USDT order that settles 12% below target counts only 10%, so the reward is 500 USDT. A 2,000 USDT order that settles 3% below target earns 60 USDT.
Bigger orders show the cap clearly. On a 50,000 USDT order, the top reward-of 500 USDT is just 1% of the full amount. The remaining 45,000 USDT is outside the voucher’s covered amount.
Yes. An order redeemed early still uses up the voucher, but no reward is paid. The order page is worth checking before redeeming, since there’s no second chance.
No. Dual Investment earnings follow the normal product rules. They aren’t taken out of the Protection Reward, and the voucher doesn’t change them.
Once the conditions are confirmed, OKX credits the reward as soon as it can. Timing may vary with system checks or review, so the payment may not land the moment an order settles.
An order can miss the OKX DCD Voucher reward for simple reasons:
The voucher wasn’t selected before submitting
The amount was below 500 USDT
The quote wasn’t labelled "Voucher."
The voucher ran out of time
The campaign terms aren’t fixed, either. OKX can change which quotes qualify, the minimum amount, how long the voucher lasts, the covered amount, the covered drop, the top reward, and whether the campaign runs at all.
The live campaign page wins over any older summary. Following the latest crypto news helps with spotting changes like these.
The clearest part of the campaign is its published reward-formula. The limits are stated plainly, with worked examples.
The main concern is size. Take a 5,000 USDT order that converts after a 12% drop. The crypto received is worth about 600 USDT less than the amount put in, before any product return.
The 500 USDT reward covers most of that gap, not all of it. This is a simple illustration, not an OKX example.
Prices can fall hard for many reasons. A large supply release is one, as the token unlock price impact shows.
The campaign doesn’t promise that its terms will stay unchanged, so the target price, the term, and the live rules all need a check. The OKX DCD Voucher softens a fall. It doesn’t remove the risk.
The OKX DCD Voucher pays only when four conditions line up, and the payout stays capped. It covers the first 5,000 USDT, counts at most a 10% drop, and tops out at 500 USDT.
An exact-target result converts but earns nothing. Rules can change, so the live campaign page is the next place to check.
Disclaimer: This piece is meant to explain how the voucher works, not to suggest any trade. Crypto orders can lose value, and a capped reward won’t cover every loss. OKX can change its campaign terms, so the live campaign page should be checked before subscribing.
