Pi Network News today is about trust, not price. PiVerify, $PI’s new identity service for outside businesses, is open for sandbox testing on its official site. Meanwhile, Pi Coin trades near $0.077.

The crypto news lands when the first Pi ecosystem summit is less than two weeks away.
The Pi Core Team (PCT) unveiled PiVerify at Pi2Day on June 28, 2026, and highlighted it alongside three other upgrades on October 31. It turns Pi’s AI-plus-human KYC system into a service for outside firms.
The Pi2Day post cites more than 18 million verified Pioneers in 200-plus countries and regions, and clients pay in $PI. The toolkit covers four areas:
Core checks: ID verification, document authenticity and liveness
Compliance support: minor status, sanctioned-country and AML name screening
Rechecks: extra liveness and palm checks
Advanced tools: duplicate-user detection, authenticity scoring and user segments
Target uses include fintech compliance, Sybil protection and AI data integrity. The site states that PiVerify gives no legal advice, and customers stay responsible for their own compliance.
Until now, Pi’s KYC system only served the network’s own apps. Outside clients paying in Pi gives the coin a business use beyond transfers. Scale is the main selling point.
Proof of demand is still missing. Fees are not public, and sources reviewed name no major client. On launch day, Pi Coin fell 6% to $0.1129, as per CoinMarketCap historic data.
For Pioneers who finished KYC, the upside is indirect. A larger verified pool can help apps cut bots and duplicate accounts. The public pages do not explain how Pioneer data is handled for outside clients, so reading the privacy terms first is wise.
$PI coin price today is rising alongside the broader crypto market. The latest data from CoinMarketCap as of November 5:

Pi price today: $0.07699, up 1.84% in 24 hours
Market cap: $873.95M, ranked #66
24-hour volume: $4.33M, down 16.05%
Fully diluted value: $7.69B
Circulating supply: 11.35B of 100B $PI
That is about 32% below the Pi2Day level. Bitcoin price swings and crypto news today usually steer mid-cap tokens more than product launches.
On the tools side, Pi Desktop 0.6.4 removes router setup for SoloHost remote access. It also checks app permissions at install and at every launch, per the release notes.
Pi’s own summit post cites 60 million engaged Pioneers, over 300 Mainnet apps, 420,000 nodes and 18.1 million KYC-verified users. These figures are self-reported.
The first Pi ecosystem summit runs online from November 17 to 19, 2026. It is the first $PI gathering aimed only at app developers. The program includes:
Platform releases: new developer tools
Live demos: how to build with the network
App showcases: projects from across the ecosystem
Core Team talks: direct sessions with Pi’s leaders
Hackathon: details of a new contest
A full agenda is due closer to the date. Pi Network News from the summit will be judged on specifics: working demos, clear hackathon rules and apps with checkable usage. A named PiVerify client would add real weight. Until then, price will likely follow the wider market.
