Zcash News Today: ZEC Fund Inflows Top $41 Million After Three Weeks

Privacy-coin investors are suddenly smiling again. In Zcash news today, spot products tied to ZEC took in more than $41M over the past trading week, ending a run of three straight weeks of withdrawals.

Meanwhile, the coin itself trades above $1,200. This guide explains the numbers in plain words, shows what the data does and does not prove, and checks every figure against the trackers listed in the post.

The Week the Money Came Back

Farside Investors’ ZEC fund table lists one US-listed product under the ticker ZCSH, with a 2.5% fee.

The site adds that its table is generated automatically and that it is not liable for errors, so treat the numbers as a guide.

After a $10.4M withdrawal on Monday, daily figures turned positive and stayed there.

That makes four straight days of inflows, a rare streak: the table’s earlier rows, from 5 October to 19 October, show only one positive day, on 14 October.

Three Weeks of Outflows Came First

246M over 21 trading days, and August added about $22M in five days. Seen this way, this Zcash news today is a recovery attempt, not yet a full reversal.

Daily data on the ZCSH flow tracker

The fund, now called the Zcash ETF and formerly Grayscale Zcash Trust, has traded on NYSE Arca since 25 August.

It has taken in about $203.8M in total, holds net assets of $706.7M, and trades at $32.59 a share, with $52.2M traded on the latest settled day.

Dividing assets by the screenshot’s coin price suggests roughly 3.4% to 3.5% of ZEC’s circulating supply, in line with the post’s 3.4% claim. That estimate is ours.

More Than One Product

The Zcash Treasuries flow page covers three ZEC investment products, not one.

  • Grayscale’s fund on NYSE Arca, fee 2.5%

  • 21Shares’ product on Euronext Amsterdam and Paris, fee 2.5%

  • Valour’s product on Spotlight, fee 1.9%

That page showed a combined total of $180.7M, but its newest row was 21 October, so it misses the two latest days.

Its daily dates and amounts also differ from the other trackers and seem to lag. Its live spot price, near $1,212.69 and up 2.7% at 04:07 UTC, agrees with the screenshot within a fraction of a percent.

Different data providers settle and date flows differently, so small gaps between sites are normal. When sharing numbers, name the source and the date.

ZEC Price Check: What the Chart Shows

Your CoinMarketCap screenshot shows ZEC at $1,209.91, up 3.16% in 24 hours, ranked ninth with a market cap of $20.48 billion.

Fully diluted value assumes all 21 million coins exist today. By our math, about 81% of that maximum is already in circulation.

The 24-hour chart opened near $1,167, dipped to roughly $1,120, then climbed to about $1,220.

Notably, the sharpest rise came overnight on a weekend, when US-listed funds do not trade.

So Zcash news today cannot prove that fund buying lifted the price; many things can move a coin, and funds are only one of them.

How to Read Fund Flows Without Overreacting

Fund data is useful context, not a crystal ball. A flow figure shows only that investors created more shares than they redeemed on a given day; it does not show why.

Keep these points in mind:

  • One strong week does not erase three weak ones.

  • Flows settle with a one-day delay, so the newest day may change.

  • Trackers can disagree on dates and amounts.

  • Price can rise or fall regardless of flows.

  • The ZCSH product holds ZEC directly, but owning its shares is not the same as holding the coins.

Watch next: the following week’s settled flows, whether outflow days return, and whether the share price stays close to the value of the coins held.

Conclusion

Zcash news today is encouraging: money returned to ZEC products for the first time in four weeks, and the latest figures match across the two trackers that cover them.

Yet October is still net negative, and flows alone do not explain price moves. Treat this as one signal among many, verify numbers at the source, and remember that crypto is volatile and this article is not financial advice.
