Bitcoin is trading near $82,830 on Wednesday. That is up 1.08%, or about $885, in the last 24 hours.
Strong earnings from SpaceX and Super Micro Computer lifted tech stocks across Asia. BTC moved higher with them and now sits close to the $83,000 mark.
BTC has a market cap of about $1.66 trillion. Futures volume is $55.22 billion, while spot volume is only $4.44 billion.
Open interest stands at $53.33 billion, up 0.86%. Options volume jumped 52.45%, but options open interest slipped 1.03%.

On the 4-hour chart, BTC still moves inside a descending channel. That is a bearish pattern.
But price has pushed above a group of moving averages between $81,973 and $82,535. The RSI is near 57, which shows better momentum without being overheated.
A higher line sits near $87,404 on the chart. That level is far away for now.
| Level | Type | Why It Matters |
| $87,404 | Higher resistance | Marked on the 4-hour chart |
| $84,000 to $85,000 | Resistance | Large short liquidation zone |
| $83,000 to $83,500 | Near resistance | Price is testing this area |
| $82,200 to $82,500 | Support | Moving average cluster |
| $81,000 | Support | Recent swing low area |
| $80,000 to $79,500 | Strong support | Lower edge of the channel |
The overall long/short ratio is 1.0825. That is a small lean toward longs.
Binance accounts show 1.4661, and OKX shows 1.54. Top traders on Binance look more bullish, at 1.594 by accounts and 1.8933 by positions.
Liquidations were $58.48 million in 24 hours. Shorts lost $47.85 million, while longs lost $10.63 million.
Crypto Rover shared a Coinglass heatmap showing over $2 billion in short liquidation liquidity between $84,000 and $85,000. Price can be pulled toward such zones, but it does not have to go there.
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw net inflows of $23.16 million on October 20. Total inflows since launch are $57.43 billion.
Total net assets are $106.28 billion, or 6.38% of BTC's market cap. BlackRock's IBIT added $29.86 million, and Fidelity's FBTC added $3.58 million. Bitwise's BITB lost $10.29 million.
The daily number is small. It is positive, though.
There is also news from Europe. Swiss regulator FINMA approved the country's first retail spot ETF that invests directly in BTC. It gets a diversification exemption, and custody and sales safeguards stay in place.
Not yet, according to CryptoQuant. Its analysts say the market is moving from "fewer sellers" toward a possible bottom, but a lasting rally needs stronger spot demand.
Stablecoin supply is another point to watch. USDT lost nearly $1 billion in market cap over five days.
A CryptoQuant analyst warned that if supply keeps shrinking while BTC stalls, the recovery could lose steam.
Nobody knows for sure. The charts give two paths.
| Scenario | Trigger | Possible Target |
| Bullish | Hold above $82,200 to $82,500 and clear $83,000 to $83,500 | $84,000 to $85,000 |
| Bearish | Rejection near resistance | $81,000, then $80,000 to $79,500 |
The short-term view looks cautiously positive. Still, the bigger 4-hour structure stays bearish until price breaks above the channel.
Weak spot demand and shrinking USDT supply are the main risks. A move into the $84,000 to $85,000 zone could bring fast, choppy trading.
