US Federal Court Rejects Anti-Terrorism Act Claims vs Binance

Anti-Terrorism Act Claims vs Binance Ruling

Binance Responds to Anti-Terrorism Act Claims vs Binance Ruling

March 10, 2026 — Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange by registered users, said that a U.S. federal court in the Southern District of New York has dismissed all claims filed against the company under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). The case involved 535 plaintiffs who alleged that Binance provided material support connected to 64 terrorist attacks. The court’s decision ends the claims made against the company in this lawsuit.

In a 62-page ruling, the court stated that the plaintiffs did not prove their main claims. It found no evidence that Binance assisted terrorists, linked itself to terrorist attacks, tried to advance such attacks, or took part in any conspiracy with terrorist organizations.

Eleanor Hughes, General Counsel at Binance, said the court’s decision clears the company of the allegations made against it. She stated that the ruling rejects claims suggesting Binance assisted terrorists and confirms the company’s long-held position that the accusations lacked merit. Hughes added that Binance will continue to defend itself against legal actions or reports that present incorrect claims about the company or misrepresent how its business and operations function.

A Full and Complete Legal Victory

The court’s decision to dismiss all claims across every allegation marks a major legal win for Binance. Although the court has given the plaintiffs 60 days to submit an amended complaint following a recent appellate ruling, Binance believes the outcome will not change. The company said the court has already reviewed the case in detail and found serious gaps in the claims. According to Binance, the core allegations were carefully examined and ultimately rejected by the court.

Commitment to Compliance and Legal Integrity

Binance said it continues to invest in strong compliance systems, regulatory engagement, and legal governance across its operations. The company noted that the court’s ruling confirms that its services do not support, enable, or assist terrorism in any form. Binance also stated that it will keep working with regulators around the world and follow established legal rules. The company added that it will take firm legal steps when necessary to address claims or reports that it believes misrepresent its business or operations.
