Crypto Listing News: Upbit Lists CAP While Bithumb Adds UB

Crypto listing news Upbit lists CAP token

Crypto Listing News Boosts CAP and Unibase Market Visibility

South Korea's two largest crypto exchanges made launch announcements this week; both counted as major crypto listing news for the region.

Upbit confirmed it will open trading for Cap  across its KRW, BTC, and USDT markets, while Bithumb, the country's second-largest exchange, is separately adding Unibase (UB) to its KRW market. Both tokens go live on 6 of August.

Upbit's CAP Listing: What the Notice Says

New CAP Trading Support (KRW, BTC, USDT Markets): The exchange will open all three trading pairs at the same time.

This is significant crypto listing news for CAP specifically, since a KRW pair lets South Korean traders buy directly with won rather than converting through Bitcoin or a stablecoin first.

It has moved sharply following the listings news. Per CoinMarketCap data, it’s priced at $0.03187, up 19.66% in the past 24 hours, with a marketcap of $49.94 million, also up 20.08%, and a 24-hour trading volume of $244.89 million, up 2,147.80%.

For comparison, USDT/KRW was trading at 1,416 KRW, down 0.14%, in the same window.

It is an onchain credit and stablecoin protocol built around a "covered credit" model.

The protocol offers cUSD, a dollar-denominated stablecoin; stcUSD, a yield-bearing version of cUSD; and $CAP, the protocol's governance token, now gaining exchange access through this launch

Bithumb Separately Lists Unibase (UB)

Separately, Bithumb will add Unibase (UB) to its KRW market.

Unibase is described as a decentralized AI memory infrastructure designed to let AI agents retain memory, using an external long-term memory structure kept separate from AI model training so agents can carry context and experience across sessions.

UB itself is Unibase's utility token, used for protocol fees, staking, and governance.

UB has also moved sharply around the listings news. Per CoinMarketCap data, Unibase is priced at $0.1387, up 16.32% in the past 24 hours, with a marketcap of $346.87 million, also up 16.32%, and 24-hour trading volume of $110.21 million, up 62.06%.

The UB launch is unrelated to the CAP launch beyond both landing on Korean exchanges in the same news cycle.

Why This Crypto Listing News Matters

Upbit listings tend to move markets given the exchange's dominant share of South Korean trading volume.

A KRW pair in particular often triggers a short-term local premium, since it removes friction for won-based retail traders.

For Cap, the launch gives its $CAP governance token direct access to one of the world's most active retail crypto markets, while Bithumb's separate UB launch extends Korean exchange access to a different corner of the market: AI agent infrastructure.

Other Recent Upbit and Bithumb Listings

This isn't the only recent listing update out of South Korea. Just two days earlier, on August 4, 2026, both exchanges added a separate batch of tokens:

HOME and META2 both posted double-digit price gains around their listing news, while USDG stayed close to its $1 peg, as expected for a reserve-backed stablecoin.

Together with this week's CAP and UB additions, it shows both exchanges have been actively expanding their token lineups within the same week.

Conclusion

This week's crypto listing news puts two very different projects in front of South Korean traders at the same time: $Cap, a credit and stablecoin protocol

Gaining its first major Korean crypto exchange listing, Unibase, an AI memory layer, is landing on Bithumb.

CAP's sharp 24-hour price and volume moves suggest the market is already reacting well ahead of full launch details settling in.
