Thumzup Media Corporation, a publicly traded company backed by Donald Trump Jr., has made a bold move with $50 million in funding to solidify its position in the crypto space. The fresh capital injection, raised through a $10-per-share offering, aims to expand the company’s Bitcoin mining operations and boost its digital asset portfolio.

Thumzup Media Shifts Focus to Crypto

In a recent press release, Trump Jr.-backed Thumzup Media has announced its decision to accelerate its expansion into the crypto space. Securing $50 million in funding, the company is shifting its focus from social media marketing to cryptocurrency.CEO Robert Steele stated,

This is a transformative step in Thumzup's evolution. With a strengthened capital base and a clear strategic vision, we are expanding our reach into high-growth areas of the digital economy. Our focus is on building durable, revenue-generating assets while positioning the Company as a leader in digital asset mining and treasury management.

Notably, the publicly traded firm intends to expand its cryptocurrency strategy, focusing on large-scale Bitcoin mining and blockchain investments. With a portion of the fund, the platform will buy “state-of-the-art cryptocurrency mining infrastructure.”

Significantly, this development has had a positive impact on the Thumzup stock price, which rose by6.37% over the past 24 hours. Currently at $10.7, the stock has surged by 2.5% in a month, despite a 5% dip over the last five days.

Crypto Ambitions Get a Boost

Currently, Thumzup Media holds 19.1 Bitcoin, valued at approximately $2.36 million. Aligning with the growing trend of public companies embracing BTC, ETH, XRP, and other digital assets, the Trump Jr.-backed firm made its first crypto purchase in January 2025.

In July, the Nasdaq-listed platform received the Board of Directors’ approval for a $250million investment in a crypto treasury that will consist of Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Dogecoin, USDC, and Litecoin.

Further, the company’s foray into cryptocurrency and BTC mining received a significant boost with Donald Trump Jr.'s support. Last month, he invested about $4 million in the firm, driven by its focus on digital asset treasuries.

Thumzup Media Collaborates with Coinbase Prime

In May 2025, the platform entered into a strategic collaboration with Coinbase Prime, establishing a BTC-backed credit facility. This partnership allows the public platform to hold up to 90% of its liquid assets in virtual currencies, highlighting its aggressive allocation policy.

CEO Steele noted, “Expanding our collaboration with Coinbase Prime reinforces our commitment to building one of the most strategically managed and growth-focused digital asset treasuries in the public markets.”
