Barcelona will host leading business figures in tokenization at the World Token Congress 2025 on December 3rd and 4th. This globally recognized event will explore how tokenization and the digital economy are transforming real-world business models. A forum for real business

The congress is aimed at CEOs and business leaders —from both large corporations and SMEs—, investors, entrepreneurs, business organizations, institutions and public administrations who want to understand how tokenization brings liquidity, efficiency and transparency to the productive economy.

During two intensive days, the program will feature 12 presentations of real success stories and 8 monographic workshops —from industry, finance, insurance and payments to legaltech, sustainability, education and traceability—, to become a space for reflection and action.

International dimension and Indian delegation

One of the new features of this edition is the presence of an official business delegation from India , comprised of leading technology and financial companies from the Asian ecosystem. This contribution reinforces the role of Catalonia and Spain as a point of connection between Europe and emerging markets.

Among the featured speakers are Raj Kapoor , founder of the India Blockchain Alliance and president of the India AI Alliance and the Global Alliance for Ethical AI, considered one of the architects of Asian digitalization; and the entrepreneur and visionary Gabriela Chang , CEO of Ethichub, who will share how tokenization can generate more profitable, inclusive and sustainable models with examples of application in the real economy, especially in the primary sector.

Results from the previous edition and projection for 2025

The previous edition brought together more than 600 in-person attendees and generated more than 41.6 million contacts in the media and online .

By 2025, a 25-30% increase in visibility and institutional participation is expected , taking into account the exponential growth that tokenization is experiencing.

Market context: a key moment for tokenization

Blockchain technology has moved beyond being a novelty to become a strategic pillar in multiple industries—finance, logistics, healthcare, industrial traceability—and in the development of new asset tokenization solutions . According to data from Fortune Business Insights , the global blockchain technology market is valued at nearly $20 billion in 2024 and could exceed $390 billion by 2032 , with annual growth rates above 40% . In Europe, various studies already place the market at several billion dollars and point to exponential growth to tens of billions in the next decade, while Spain, and Catalonia in particular, are consolidating their position as one of the most active regions in the adoption of blockchain-based solutions and tokenization.
