What Is a DESSA Token, and Why Are Traders Searching for It Now?
DESSA is a Solana coin launched on October 26, 2026. Its catchy name and a market cap near $15 million on October 31 have drawn traders’ attention.
A day earlier, its market cap was near $9.4 million. That sharp move explains why traders are watching DESSA Token.
DESSA is a meme token. Its official website calls it an independent meme inspired by a voice AI announcement from Block.
It says there is no affiliation with Block, Jack Dorsey, or the Dessa team. New readers can start with what a meme coin is.
The official page lists the token as created on October 26, 2026, on Solana, with a pump AMM pool. It calls the 979.2 million supply a snapshot checked on October 28, so it is not live. No roadmap or allocation table appears.
Pump.fun’s public documentation says new coins can trade on a bonding curve without requiring the creator to provide initial liquidity.
A bonding curve is a pricing formula that changes the price as people buy or sell. When it completes, liquidity moves to PumpSwap, an automated market maker (AMM) pool. This follows wider Solana meme coin trends.
Total supply means all minted tokens, minus any burned. CoinGecko showed about 979.127 million on October 31, and Phantom about 979.13 million. The project page lists total supply but does not confirm a maximum supply.
CoinGecko’s DESSA page put market cap and fully diluted valuation (FDV) at about $9.39 million on October 30. By October 31, market cap neared $15 million, with FDV close to it.
Circulating supply is the part a tracker counts as available. CoinGecko and Phantom list about 979.127 million to 979.13 million, the same as the total supply.
That does not mean every token can sell at the quoted price, since wallet concentration and pool liquidity still limit trading.
CoinGecko’s market page currently lists one tracked venue, PumpSwap, through the DESSA/WSOL pair. WSOL is wrapped SOL, used in Solana trading pools.
Total 24-hour volume was about $3.5 million to $3.8 million on October 31, roughly a fifth to a quarter of market cap, up from about 16% a day earlier.
CoinGecko shows about $3.79 million for the DESSA/WSOL pair alone, which is pair volume, not token volume.
Liquidity is how easily a token trades without moving its own price, and what liquidity means in crypto takes only minutes to learn. High volume does not prove a deep pool, since reserves set the real limit.
Depth is how much trading a market can take near the price.
Metric | CoinGecko | Phantom |
Price | $0.01568 | About $0.0159 |
Market cap | $15.355M | About $16M |
24-hour volume | $3.833M | About $3.5M |
Circulating / total supply | 979.127M | 979.13M |
PumpSwap spread (pair) | 0.60% | Not listed |
Depth +2% / -2% (pair) | $7,174 / $7,152 | Not listed |
Source: CoinGecko DESSA market page and Phantom, checked on October 31, 2026. Readings change and are not closing prices. Price, market cap, and volume are token-level; spread and depth are pair-level for DESSA/WSOL on PumpSwap. Feeds update at different times.
CoinGecko’s token price is $0.01568, while its pair table quotes $0.02000, so these figures are not one matched snapshot. The October 30 depth, near $5.5K per side, is historical only.
The spread, the gap between quoted buy and sell prices, was 0.60% on the pair. Fees and price impact can push a round trip higher, and the risks of trading newly listed coins start here.
Depth of about $7.2K is under 0.05% of a $15 million market cap. The pump swap pair volume of about $3.79 million is roughly 528 times that depth, a rough comparison since the feeds differ.
Fake lookalikes are common, and learning crypto exit scam signs helps, but the contract address is the first check.
Copy the address from the official page: npz2FhoufQ7pKqhGpaipYWacrAkidyW2yDpVWSvpump
Compare it with the contract on CoinGecko. The two must match exactly.
Open it in a Solana explorer and check supply, mint details, and the largest holders.
Check the DESSA/WSOL pool on a DEX tracker.
Follow @DessaOnSOL on X for project notices.
The official page shows no listing plan, so any listing rumor should be checked at the source.
Holder concentration needs two checks: who bought at launch and who owns the supply now. Phantom reported that the top 10 holders held about 3.13% of supply on October 31.
That is a tracker reading, not a holder audit, and early buying is a separate measure. A few crypto wallets holding a large share of supply are a common rug pull warning sign.
Liquidity control was not checked either. Pump.fun’s documentation describes a general LP-token burn process, but that does not confirm DESSA’s own pool.
A June 2026 CoinGecko study of Pump.fun launches found that about 69% of 18.67 million coins made their last trade on launch day, and only about 4.55% lasted past 90 days. It counts bonding-curve trades only, so coins that moved to PumpSwap are undercounted.
DESSA Token is a Solana meme coin with near-identical total and circulating supply, heavy volume, and thin pool depth. Holders and token purpose stay unclear.
