Ethereum FOMO is rising on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. ETH trades near $2,503, and social media mood has turned bullish.
Bitcoin and XRP are in a different place. Traders there sound nervous, and US inflation data is due today.
Asset | Key Level | Bullish Comments per 1 Bearish | Mood |
Ethereum (ETH) | $2,450 to $2,500 support | 2.05 | FOMO |
Bitcoin (BTC) | $84,000 resistance | 0.82 | Fear |
XRP | $1.34 support | 0.92 | Fear (FUD) |
Santiment tracked comments across X, Reddit, and Telegram. ETH has 2.05 bullish comments for every bearish one.
Its chart marks a FOMO zone, where the crowd leans heavily bullish, and a FUD zone below it. ETH sits in the first. BTC and XRP sit in the second.
Traders point to ETH's rebound above key support, staking demand, and hopes for upcoming network upgrades.
Bitcoin has 0.82 bullish comments per bearish one. It was rejected near $87,000 more than once, then dipped toward $81,000. Heavy long liquidations did not help.
XRP has 0.92. It fell more than 9% in a week, and the $1.40 area has been hard to reclaim.
From a contrarian view, fear in BTC and XRP can be healthier than ETH's crowd excitement if prices recover.
ETH was rejected near $2,750 to $2,800. It then pulled back to $2,500.
On the daily chart, price moves inside a wide rising channel. It now sits near the lower line.
It is below the 20-day EMA at $2,570, which points to weaker short-term momentum. It holds above the 50-day EMA near $2,501. The 100-day and 200-day EMAs are near $2,355 and $2,310.
RSI is near 43.67. That is soft, but not oversold.
Level | Type | Note |
$2,750 to $2,800 | Resistance | Recent rejection zone |
$2,570 to $2,600 | Resistance | 20-day EMA area |
$2,450 to $2,500 | Support | 50-day EMA near $2,501 |
$2,355 | Support | 100-day EMA |
$2,310 | Support | 200-day EMA |
If ETH holds $2,450 to $2,500, it could retest $2,600, then $2,700 to $2,800. A clear break below $2,450 could open the way toward $2,350 to $2,300.
Bitcoin crossed $84,000 but could not hold it.
Analyst Ali Martinez noted a setup like an earlier bounce. Back then, BTC held the 200-day SMA and closed above the 50-day SMA, and a rally followed.
He called $84,000, where the 50-day SMA sits, the level to watch. A 4-hour close above it could confirm a move toward $93,000.
Nothing is confirmed until that close.
XRP moves inside a descending channel after rejection near $1.60 to $1.66.
Price is below the 20-day EMA (1.4251) and the 50-day EMA (1.3947). The 200-day EMA at $1.3794 acts as a cap. The 100-day EMA at $1.3403 holds as support. RSI is near 42, which is weak but not oversold.
XRP and Dogecoin both posted noticeable spikes. Still, a short spike does not erase XRP's 9% weekly drop. No Dogecoin price levels were available, so there is no outlook for it here.
Level | Type | Note |
$1.60 to $1.66 | Resistance | Recent rejection zone |
$1.48 to $1.50 | Resistance | Possible target if $1.43 breaks |
$1.40 to $1.43 | Resistance | 20-day and 50-day EMAs |
$1.33 to $1.30 | Support | Near 100-day EMA |
$1.25 to $1.20 | Support | Deeper downside area |

CPI data comes out at 8:30 AM ET. Investors want clues on the Federal Reserve's next move.
The last reading was 3.4%. The forecast is 3.6%.
One popular crypto account said a reading above 3.6% could crash markets, and below it could spark a rally. A match could bring a mixed reaction. That is one view on social media, not a sure outcome.
Prices held firm ahead of the release. Moves can be sharp when the number lands.
The Fear and Greed Index reads 62, which is Greed. It was 57 yesterday, 71 last week, and 57 last month.
Mood is still positive, but it has cooled from last week's high.
CoinGlass shows $133.46 million in liquidations over 24 hours. A total of 58,968 traders were hit. Binance had a 52% share.
Longs lost $77.53 million (58.1%). Shorts lost $55.93 million (41.9%).
The mix changed over shorter windows. Shorts took more losses in the last 4 and 12 hours.
Window | Total | Longs | Shorts |
1 hour | $6.39M | $5.64M | $755.77K |
4 hours | $19.31M | $9.02M | $10.29M |
12 hours | $44.19M | $20.05M | $24.13M |
24 hours | $133.46M | $77.53M | $55.93M |
By coin, ETH led with $18.90M (54.9% long). BTC followed with $18.74M (59.1% short); SNDK ($7.61M), ZEC ($6.91M), and SOL ($6.17M) came next. Other coins added $21.39M (76.7% long).
The largest single order was $802.60K on Binance. It was a BTCUSDT short at $83,725.90. That fits a quick push above $84,000.
It can be both. ETH sits right on its 50-day EMA, and the crowd leans bullish.
Still, crowd excitement can fade fast. The CPI print could shake all three coins.
The $2,450 level matters most for ETH. For BTC, it is $84,000. For XRP, it is the $1.34 area.
Watch these levels and manage risk.
