Fresh on-chain data shows a mix of big buyers, suspected hackers, and long-silent holders moving ETH. This Ethereum News roundup explains what each move means for everyday holders.
ETH price traded at $2,492.44 on October 10, 2026, down 0.2% in 24 hours, with a market cap near $304 billion. These transfers alone do not predict where the price goes next.

According to Ai Yi, an address tied to Wang Chun withdrew 5,173.41 tokens from Binance over seven hours. That is worth about $12.86 million, at an average price of $2,485.89. The day before, the same address swapped 235.51 WBTC for 7,848.53 tokens, worth about $19 million.
Since October, the ETH/BTC rate has slipped from 0.03212 to 0.03013. The wallet’s moves show large token exposure. Still, withdrawals and swaps do not prove a bullish view or reveal the owner’s plans.

Blockchain security firm Salus reports that the Triple-A attacker sent 4,970 tokens, worth about $12.4 million, into Tornado Cash on October 9. The same attacker drained Triple-A’s treasury in July, with public loss estimates near $11.8 million.
After bridging the funds to Ethereum and swapping assets, the attacker split them across two relay addresses on September 6. On October 9, both streams went through one wallet.
The deposits came in 49 transactions of 100 coins and seven of 10 coins. These details come from Salus tracking, not from a court or official investigation.

Onchain Lens says a suspect in the reported $90 million Ledger reseller theft sent 430.2 tokens, about $1.07 million, to Tornado Cash through four wallets. After Tether froze some funds, the suspect swapped USDT for USDD using SUN.io and the USDD PSM. Some funds reached a Binance hot wallet.
Arkham-tagged addresses still hold about $70.6 million. That includes 11,406 ETH, 213.371 BTC, 13.646 million USDD, and 10.909 million USDT.
Separately, Lookonchain reported that a Ledger-related drainer took 59 ETH, about $146,800, from a wallet that became active after four years. These are two different reports. Neither proves a flaw in Ledger’s own systems.

Lookonchain says three wallets, possibly owned by one whale, deposited 2,903 tokens, worth $7.22 million, into Coinbase after more than nine years of silence. They received the tokens when it cost about $9.90. That implies a profit near $7.19 million, or roughly 250 times the cost.
An exchange deposit can come before a sale. It does not confirm one.

Timeline
July 2026: Triple-A treasury is breached.
September 6: Stolen funds split across two relay addresses.
October 9: Triple-A attacker deposits 4,970 coins into Tornado Cash.
October 10: Reports cover the Wang Chun-linked withdrawal and the Ledger suspect’s transfers.
Is this bullish? Large withdrawals may signal changing exposure, but intent stays unclear. Does Tornado Cash prove laundering? It fits the pattern investigators describe, but attribution needs proof. Will crypto prices move? Big transfers draw attention, yet the impact depends on actual selling, liquidity, and the wider market.
This Ethereum News update shows three sides of the market: large withdrawals, suspicious fund movements, and old wallets waking up. On-chain tracking gives useful visibility, but it cannot reveal who holds the coins, why they move them, or what they will trade next.
