Polkadot may soon get its own stablecoin, and DOT is already pushing against its highest level in weeks.
This Polkadot Price Prediction October 2026 looks at whether $1.2012 holds and DOT breaks above $1.2839.
A widely shared social media post said Polkadot's own stablecoin could be coming soon. A stablecoin is a coin built to hold a steady price, usually $1.
The proposal, called "dotUSD: A Native Stablecoin for Polkadot," is still open for voting, and the post said it looks likely to pass.
If it passes, the stablecoin would be backed by the DOT token. The post said treasury funds (money held by the Polkadot network) would seed the first liquidity, and users could swap USDT for dotUSD in phase 1.

The post said this could give a boost to one of crypto's oldest blockchains. CoinGabbar could not independently verify the vote status, as no link to the proposal was shown. Until the vote ends, the outcome is not final.
DOT spent July and August sliding, then bottomed near $0.75 in mid-August. It jumped in early September to about $1.28, pulled back to around $1.08, and then climbed again.
The low of that pullback was higher than the low before it, which is a sign buyers are getting stronger.
Price has now come back to the $1.2839 level. That is the high from the early September jump. One candle peeked above it but closed below, so sellers still hold that level for now. Polkadot price today is down 1% at $1.2418.
Two EMAs sit below price. The 20 EMA is at $1.1279, and the 50 EMA is at $1.0214. Price is well above both, so the bigger trend is up.
The $1.2012 level is the most recent low, so it is the first place buyers are likely to step in.
Level Type | Price |
Resistance 4 | $2.6052 |
Resistance 3 | $2.0019 |
Resistance 2 | $1.6649 |
Resistance 1 (nearest) | $1.2839 |
Immediate Price Reference | $1.2418 |
First Confirmed Support | $1.2012 |
EMA Support Zone | $1.1279 to $1.0214 |
Deeper Support | $1.0805 |
Bull case: A close above $1.2839 would clear the level that has stopped DOT since early September. That would open the way toward $1.6649. A yes vote on the stablecoin could add fresh interest on top of the chart setup.
Bear case: A close below $1.2012 would break the run of higher lows. Losing the 20 EMA at $1.1279 would put $1.0805 in play. If the vote fails or drags on, the news lift could fade.
$2.6052 is the highest level marked on the chart. To reach it, DOT must first break $1.2839, then $1.6649 and $2.0019. That is a long climb in steps, and it starts with clearing the level DOT is testing now.
According to CoinGabbar analysts, the chart is in a healthy uptrend, with higher lows and the price sitting above both EMAs. The stablecoin vote is a real story, but it is not final yet.
A close above $1.2839 is what would confirm that buyers are ready for the next leg.
