NEAR is trading at $2.4047, after breaking above an ascending trendline that had connected its higher lows since July.
The breakout in early September was sharp, pushing the price up from around $2.00 through the trendline and into the current range.
The EMA cluster sits well below the current price, with the 20 EMA at $1.9996 and the 50 EMA at $1.8917, both now acting as support if the price pulls back rather than resistance.
For context, the NEAR Protocol all-time high sits near $20.40, set back in January 2022, so even a run to the chart's highest marked resistance would still leave price well below that historic peak.
Level Type | Price |
Resistance 3 | $3.0975 |
Resistance 2 | $2.8458 |
Resistance 1 (nearest) | $2.4976 |
Immediate Price Reference | $2.4047 |
First Confirmed Support | $2.3490 |
Deeper Support | $2.1952 |
Bull case: Holding above $2.3490 and clearing $2.4976 would confirm the trendline breakout is holding rather than fading, opening the path toward $2.8458 and eventually $3.0975.
Bear case: A close back below $2.3490 would put the breakout in doubt and suggest the recent surge was overextended. Losing $2.1952 would expose $NEAR to a deeper retest of the EMA cluster near $1.99 to $1.89.
Scenario | Trigger | Likely Outcome | Invalidation Point |
Trendline reclaim (bullish) | Hold above $2.4047 and break $2.4976 | Push toward $2.8458 | Close below $2.3490 |
Range hold | Consolidation between $2.3490 and $2.4976 | Sideways chop before next leg | Break of either bound |
Breakdown (bearish) | Close below $2.3490 | Retest of $2.1952 | Reclaim above $2.4976 |
$3.0975 is the highest resistance level marked on the chart.
Getting there would need NEAR to clear $2.4976 first, then $2.8458, a multi-stage move rather than a single leg, a far more grounded path than the analyst's $4.50-5.00 social media call, let alone the NEAR Protocol all-time high near $20.40.
According to CoinGabbar analysts, The trendline breakout and the shift toward EMA-as-support both point to genuine short-term strength.
The heavier short liquidations over 24 hours suggest the move caught bearish positioning off guard, but $2.3490 remains the level that decides whether this holds or fades.

Analyst @CryptoMichNL says a big NEAR move is literally a matter of time, citing ZEC's new all-time high and a claimed near 1:1 correlation between the two, with a possible run to $4.50-5.00 in the coming weeks.
