Zcash Price Prediction

Zcash price prediction watchers have a clean pattern to work with this week.

ZEC has climbed along the same rising trendline for days, and each of the last three times the price touched that line, it printed a higher high right after.

Now the price is back on the line for a fourth time, and this attempt could decide whether the run keeps stretching or finally cools off.

A fresh upgrade announcement on the network side is adding extra attention to the coin too. Here is what the chart and the data are showing.

Zcash Price Today: Live Data and 24-Hour Change

ZEC is trading at $828.05 at the time of writing, down $6.5937, or 0.79 percent, over the past 24 hours.

Futures volume over the same period stands at $4.79 billion, while spot volume sits at $397.93 million.

Market cap is holding at $13.96 billion, open interest is at $1.76 billion, and circulating supply is 16.84 million ZEC, already matching total supply, with room left to the max supply cap of 21.00 million tokens.

Zcash Latest News and Market Catalyst

Zcash just picked up a real performance upgrade.Zcash Latest News

Developer team Zakura says its new cryptography stack can cut private transaction proof generation from over 3 seconds down to under 200 milliseconds in some cases, which works out to more than 14 times faster on mobile and 5 times faster on desktop.

Privacy has always been Zcash's core pitch, but making that privacy fast enough for everyday use is a separate hurdle, and this upgrade is a step toward closing that gap for this Zcash price forecast.

ZEC Liquidation Data and Market Positioning

Liquidation activity over the past day shows a market that has been squeezed on both sides, not just one.Zcash liquidation data

Over the last 24 hours, $10.43 million in positions were liquidated, split between $4.33 million in longs and $6.10 million in shorts, a fairly balanced mix given the size of the move.

The 12-hour window tells a different story, though, with $4.57 million total rekt and longs taking the bulk of it at $3.62 million against $947.35K from shorts.

Zoom into the last 4 hours, and shorts actually took the bigger hit, losing $89.29K against $47.06K from longs, which lines up with the sharp bounce off the trendline.

In the most recent hour, $25.97K was liquidated overall, with $16.75K from longs and $9.22K from shorts.

Quick Take

  • CMP: $828.90 on the 1-hour Binance perpetual chart

  • Bullish trigger: 1-hour close above $888.88 needed to confirm the fourth trendline retest holds

  • Bullish target: $1,000, next major resistance

  • Bearish trigger: 1-hour close below $751.83

  • Bearish target on breakdown: $692.53

  • Data timestamp: August 31, 2026, 15:12 UTC+5:30

  • Risk note: three straight retests have printed higher highs, but a pattern that has worked three times does not guarantee it will work a fourth time, so a real close above $888.88 still matters more than the setup alone

Zcash Technical Analysis August 2026

CMP, or current market price, refers to where ZEC is trading right now.Zcash technical analysis

On the 1-hour ZEC/USDT perpetual chart on Binance, the price has been climbing along an ascending trendline for several days.

Each of the last three times ZEC touched that trendline, it went on to print a higher high before pulling back to test the line again.

Price is now testing that same trendline for a fourth time, and this retest is the one to watch closely in this Zcash technical analysis.

If ZEC breaks and closes above $888.88 on the 1-hour chart, that would keep the pattern of higher highs alive and put the next major resistance at $1,000, a round number that often acts as a psychological ceiling on its own.

On the downside, if ZEC breaks and closes below $751.83, that would mark the first real break in this trendline pattern, and the next support to watch drops to $692.53.

The RSI reading on the chart is currently near 46.20, sitting in fairly neutral territory after cooling off from a stronger bullish reading earlier in the week, which fits a market pausing at a decision point rather than one already committed to a direction in this ZEC price prediction.

Bull, Base, and Bear Case for ZEC

In the bull case, ZEC holds the trendline through this fourth retest and closes above $888.88, keeping the higher-high pattern going and opening a path toward $1,000.

The base case has ZEC chopping between $751.83 and $888.88 for a while as the market digests both the trendline retest and the Zakura upgrade news before picking a clear direction.

In the bear case, $ZEC closes below $751.83, breaking the trendline pattern for the first time in this run, and price works its way toward a retest of $692.53.

Risks to This Zcash Price Prediction

The biggest risk here is treating three good retests as a guarantee of a fourth. Patterns like this can and do break, especially after a strong run that has already stretched the trend.

Broader Bitcoin price action, shifts in overall crypto risk sentiment, and general altcoin weakness could all pull ZEC away from this chart structure regardless of how the trendline holds up on its own.

This analysis is based purely on current chart structure and available data, and conditions can change quickly.
