Mercado Bitcoin, which says it serves 4.5 million clients, now supports SUI, USDC and USDsui, according to the Sui Foundation. The October 29 post calls it the first exchange in Brazil to support Sui asset transfers. This Sui Network News report separates what is live, planned and only explored.

Not everything in the announcement is available yet.
Item | Official wording | Status |
Buy, sell, send, receive SUI, USDC, USDsui | "Can now" on X, "will offer" in the blog | Wording mixed |
USDsui as lending collateral | Part of the integration | Terms not published |
Pix link between reais and stablecoins | Existing Mercado Bitcoin feature | Project-stated |
USDsui is the Sui Dollar, a Sui stablecoin. The Sui Foundation's post uses present and future tense. Mercado Bitcoin's own platform pages were not reviewed, so live availability is not independently confirmed.
The post says The Brazilian exchange Bitcoin is a Central Bank of Brazil payment institution and a CVM-authorized securities broker. It cites 10 licenses across Brazil and Europe. These are project-stated figures.
Plan | Official wording | Status |
Hashi Bitcoin lending | "Exploring"; "no offering is available at this time" | Not live |
Hashi mainnet | "Expected this month" | Pending |
Tokenized real-world assets on Sui | "Will bring" the platform | No date given |
Hashi is Sui's Bitcoin collateral layer. Its testnet is live. The Foundation said on October 8 that launch partners committed more than $500 million. That is capital commitments, not deposits.
Stablecoin transfers are fee-free at the protocol level on Sui, per the Sui Foundation, so USDC and USDsui need no separate gas token. The Brazilian exchange Bitcoin says it has issued more than 800 tokenized assets since 2019. Any Hashi product would face Brazilian rules and internal governance.
This Sui Network News check starts with the headline claim. It covers "asset transfers" at a Brazilian exchange. It does not say Brazilians could not buy SUI before. Binance opened a SUI/BRL pair in October 2024, per its notice. The "first" claim is not independently verified.
The post also cites $1 trillion in stablecoin transfer volume over 12 months, from network data. That figure was not independently checked.
A CoinMarketCap data showed SUI at $0.8905 on October 30, down 3.6% in 24 hours. Market cap was $3.66 billion, with 4.11 billion of 10 billion SUI circulating. Fully diluted value is price times 10 billion, about $8.91 billion. This is context only. No link between the news and price is established.

Before acting, verify:
Mercado Bitcoin's own asset page and supported network
Deposit and withdrawal status for your account
USDsui collateral terms, rates and liquidation rules
Hashi mainnet status
A date for the tokenized asset move
This Sui Network News review finds a real, licensed distribution channel, but a mixed live-versus-planned message. Treat the transfers as the confirmed starting point. Treat Hashi lending and tokenized assets as plans until Mercado BTC and Sui publish dates and terms.
