Two big numbers are spreading online: $1.80 billion and 600,000. The first is the total money that has flowed into U.S. funds holding this coin.
The second is the reward pool in a new Binance campaign. The chart even touched $1.40 overnight, then faded.
XRP News Today covers each story, does the math, and checks whether the news really moved the price.
According to live market data, the coin was trading near $1.34, up 0.56% over 24 hours, after reaching almost $1.40 overnight.
Metric | Value |
Price | $1.34 |
24h Change | +0.56% |
Market Cap | $84.63B (+0.56%) |
24h Volume | $2.46B (+41.87%) |

The chart opened near $1.33 and rose to about $1.36 by the afternoon. A second jump in the evening pushed it near $1.40 around midnight on the chart’s clock.
After 3 AM it slid to about $1.35 by 7 AM, and it now sits near $1.34, about 4% below the peak.
Volume rose almost 42%, so it was a busy day with little to show. Readers following XRP news today will see that the 24-hour gain is small even though the day was loud.
An ETF is a fund you buy on the stock market. U.S. funds holding this coin have taken in $1.80 billion in total net inflow, which is money in minus money out. Yesterday added only $708.52K, and the funds hold $1.57 billion in assets, as of October 21.

A split day: Bitwise lost $1.55M while Franklin gained $2.25M, and the other three funds saw no flows.
Fees and losses: Franklin charges the lowest fee, 0.19%, and 21Shares has seen more money leave than arrive since launch.
A gap: the funds hold $1.57 billion against $1.80 billion that came in. That roughly $0.23 billion difference is our own math, and it suggests much of the money arrived at higher prices.
The post asks how much more money is waiting on the sidelines. The data cannot answer that, but flows are tiny.
The $33.55M traded on October 21 is only about 1.4% of the coin’s $2.46 billion daily volume, by our math.
The second story comes straight from Binance’s announcement, also summarized on Binance Square. It rewards users who hold RLUSD, Ripple’s stablecoin that tracks the U.S. dollar.
Detail | What Binance says |
Prize pool | 600,000 XRP |
Campaign period | October 23 to November 20, 2026 (UTC) |
Payouts | Weekly, by 18:00 UTC each Friday, starting October 30 |
Where | Spot account of the main Binance account |
Minimum | 0.01 RLUSD |
Holdings count in Spot, Funding, Earn Flexible Savings and Margin accounts, and each day’s lowest hourly balance is the one that counts.
Rewards are boosted 1.2x for adding RLUSD over the previous two weeks, 1.1x for Earn, and 1.3x for both. There is no cap per person, and rewards end once the pool runs out.
Users must verify their identity, and many regions, including the U.S., U.K., Japan, Canada, Germany, and France, are excluded.
The weekly rate is not set yet and will be updated on each payout day. Binance’s example uses a 20% yearly rate, under which 10,000 RLUSD would earn about $38.35 worth of coins a week. That is an example, not a forecast.
Our math puts the pool at about $804,000, which is 600,000 coins at $1.34. That equals roughly 0.001% of the 63.12 billion coins in circulation and about 0.03% of today’s trading volume. The payout alone is tiny next to the market.
Binance’s time is official, while the BankXRP time is our estimate from the post’s ID, and the chart clock is local:
When | What happened | Price |
About 3:30 PM | Binance publishes its announcement | About $1.36 |
About 8:30 PM | The evening jump | About $1.36 to $1.375 |
About midnight | The peak | Nearly $1.40 |
About 7:20 AM | BankXRP’s ETF post appears | About $1.35 |
The rise started before Binance’s post, the peak came hours after it, and the ETF post arrived after the peak, while the chart was falling. Anyone following XRP news today should treat any single reason for the move as a guess.
October 23, when the Binance campaign starts.
October 30, when the first payout and the first weekly rate are published.
Daily fund flows, to see if the trickle turns into a stream.
Whether the coin holds above $1.33.
Both stories are real, but both are small next to the market, and the chart gave back most of its gains. Fund flows are near zero, and the reward pool is worth less than a million dollars. For XRP news today, the smartest approach is to follow the confirmed facts and ignore the hype.
