Chainlink says its Q3 2026 review shows more than $36 trillion in TVE. Does that mean more buying of LINK?
This Chainlink News report checks the official review published on October 21, 2026. TVE, or Transaction Value Enabled, isn't revenue. It isn't locked money or LINK purchases either.
Chainlink says TVE passed $36 trillion in Q3 2026. Transaction Value Enabled is a running total of the dollar value of transactions its oracles help carry out. An oracle is a service that feeds real-world data to blockchains.

The same metric read about $27.3 trillion in November 2025. That's a rise of more than $8 trillion, using Chainlink's own figures.
So $36 trillion does not mean:
Revenue: Chainlink earned $36 trillion
Locked value: $36 trillion sits in protocols
Token buying: users bought $36 trillion of LINK
Price: LINK will rise next
Total Value Secured (TVS) is a separate metric. It counts assets that depend on Chainlink services.
The review does state one link between usage and the token. The Chainlink Reserve buys tokens using offchain enterprise revenue and onchain service revenue.
The Reserve added 1,543,330.47 tokens in Q3. It now holds 6,047,498.315 tokens, about 0.81% of the 748.09 million circulating supply.
At $12.18, that's roughly $73.7 million. This is arithmetic, not a Chainlink figure.
Step | Evidence found | Status |
More service use | TVE above $36 trillion | Company-reported |
Revenue buys LINK | Reserve added 1.54 million LINK | Company-reported |
Revenue amount | No TVE-to-fee figure published | Not found |
Effect on supply or price | None shown in the review | Not shown |
LINK ETFs from Grayscale and Bitwise held 16,650,795 tokens at quarter-end, per Chainlink. That's investor demand, not network usage.
CoinMarketCap showed Chainlink near $12.18 on October 22, up 1.69% on the week. This Chainlink News check treats that as a snapshot, not proof of demand.

Chainlink's review lists many partners. These five matter most. Each status below uses Chainlink's own wording.
Item | What Chainlink reports | Status |
DTCC | A production trade with J.P. Morgan collateral for CME | Trade reported |
DTCC AppChain | Will use Chainlink tools | Still ahead |
Swift | A solution linking banks to Swift's ledger | Announced |
Wyoming | FRNT moved to CCIP, plus Proof of Reserve | Reported complete |
Hong Kong | Tokenized Securities Framework chose CCIP and ACE | Selection |
Prediction markets | Polymarket, World and LBank use Data Streams | Reported adoption |
None of these items states a transaction volume. A partner's name doesn't show how much Transaction Value Enabled it adds.
Chainlink's X post also says $140 billion is secured across onchain finance. The review doesn't mention that figure. It isn't Transaction Value Enabled or TVS, so treat it as unreconciled.
This Chainlink News review finds large reported usage and a Reserve that buys token. It finds no published link from TVE to revenue, supply or price.
