DGAI Tokenomics: Inside the Decentralized Future of AI
Artificial intelligence is rapidly expanding, but accessing powerful AI models, securing computing resources, and managing inference costs can still be challenging. DGrid AI aims to address these challenges through decentralized infrastructure.
Its goal is to make AI inference more cost-effective, reliable, verifiable, and community-driven. It uses BNB Chain as its underlying blockchain infrastructure and settlement layer. It aims to create a decentralized infrastructure and marketplace layer where different AI models and computing resources can be accessed through one network.
DGrid AI (DGAI) is a decentralized AI inference network where AI models and computing resources are accessed by a unified network. Its approach is to connect a unified API and intelligent routing system through multiple models and nodes. The project uses blockchain-based mechanisms for routing, verification, settlement, incentives, and governance.

AI Gateway: The AI Gateway provides a unified API for accessing multiple AI models. DGrid says developers can use an OpenAI-compatible interface, making it easier to switch between different models and providers.
DGridRPC: DGridRPC is the unified access layer intended to connect developers and applications with AI models and agents across the network. It is designed to simplify access to AI services through standardized interfaces.
Proof of Quality: Proof of Quality is one of DGrid's core concepts. It is designed to evaluate the reliability and quality of inference results rather than simply rewarding nodes for providing computing power.
Decentralized Computing Network: DGrid uses distributed nodes to provide AI inference infrastructure. Its current AI gateway page states that the network has 10,000+ global distributed nodes and is designed for availability and censorship resistance.
$DGAI is the native token of the DGrid AI ecosystem.
According to DGrid's documentation, DGAI is intended to support four major functions:
Staking and Network Access: Node operators and AI service providers are expected to stake DGAI to participate in network activities. Staked tokens can act as collateral against certain forms of poor or malicious behavior.
Payments for AI Services: DGAI is designed to be used for paying for AI inference and agent services. Fees can be calculated using factors such as Compute Units and latency.
Rewards for Contributors: DGAI is intended to reward node operators and AI service providers according to factors such as service quality, usage, uptime, latency, and user evaluations.
Governance: DGAI is also intended to support participation in governance concerning certain protocol parameters and ecosystem decisions.
AI Ecosystem Participation: DGAI supports value exchange across DGrid’s wider ecosystem, including its AI infrastructure and marketplace. DGrid describes the token as a core mechanism for aligning incentives between users, developers, node operators, and AI service providers.
According to DGrid's official website, the planned maximum supply is 1 billion tokens. The distribution is divided into 6 major categories:

Nodes – 50% Allocation; 500,000,000 Tokens
The largest share is dedicated to node operators and infrastructure providers. Tokens are released over 10 years, with emissions halving every two years.
Community Rewards: 15% Allocation; 150,000,000 Tokens
This allocation supports ecosystem initiatives, campaigns, contributors, and user incentives, followed by a six-month lock and two-year linear release.
Team Incentives: 10% Allocation; 100,000,000 Tokens
Core contributors receive this allocation, subject to a one-year lock and two-year linear vesting period.
Investors: 10% Allocation; 100,000,000 Tokens
Seed-round investors are allocated 100 million tokens, with a one-year lock followed by two years of linear release.
Airdrops: 8% Allocation; 80,000,000 Tokens
Early users, contributors, and eligible campaign participants receive this portion, which is fully unlocked at TGE.
Initial Liquidity: 7% Allocation; 70,000,000 Tokens
Reserved to support trading liquidity when DGAI launches, with the entire allocation unlocked at the Token Generation Event (TGE).
DGrid AI presents a vision for making AI inference more accessible, verifiable, and community-driven through decentralized infrastructure. Its ecosystem connects AI models, agents, users, developers, token unlock, and computing nodes, while BNB Chain serves as the underlying blockchain infrastructure for settlement and governance. A key highlight is its DGAI tokenomics, with 50% of the 1 billion total supply allocated to nodes and 20% to community rewards, emphasizing network participation and ecosystem growth.
