Who Gets What: Allocation Breakdown

Avalanche (AVAX): A Small Foundation Release on a Major Layer 1

Avalanche is a Layer 1 blockchain built for fast finality and low-cost smart contract execution, using a unique consensus mechanism that lets it process transactions in under a second, according to Avalanche's official.

It's widely used for DeFi apps, subnets (custom blockchains built on top of Avalanche), and enterprise blockchain deployments.

On August 10, the network unlocked 1.67M AVAX, worth roughly $10.86 million, entirely from its Foundation allocation, equal to 2.50% of that specific bucket.

Since AVAX already has 46.1% of its total foundation allocation unlocked and the network carries a large, liquid market, this release is a routine, small addition rather than a meaningful supply shock.

Allora (ALLO): AI Coordination Token Releases From Two Buckets

Allora is a decentralized AI network that coordinates multiple machine learning models together instead of relying on one, aiming to deliver more accurate predictive signals for DeFi platforms and AI agents.

ALLO is the token that powers this system: workers and reputers stake it, developers pay it to access predictions, and holders use it to vote on network decisions.

On August 11, two allocations unlocked together, Foundation released 1.84M ALLO (1.97% of its allocation), and Ecosystem & Partnerships released another 1.84M ALLO (2.08% of its allocation), for a combined 3.69M tokens worth about $1.14 million.

Given Allora only launched its mainnet in late 2025, this is still an early-stage token where unlocks carry more relative weight on a thinner market.

Chainbase (C): The Week's Most Fragmented Unlock

Chainbase runs what it calls a "Hyperdata Network," turning raw, scattered blockchain activity from more than 80 chains into structured data that AI models and apps can actually use.

The C token pays for that data access, secures the network through staking, and governs protocol decisions. This is the most fragmented unlock of the week, spread across four separate allocation buckets:

Combined, that's 24.78M tokens, only $1.66 million in dollar terms but a notable 6.83% of Chainbase's current market cap, by far the highest ratio in this week's list.

Pump.fun (PUMP): The Largest Dollar Release of the Week

Pump.fun is a Solana-based launchpad where anyone can create and trade meme coins with a bonding-curve pricing model, and it has become one of the most heavily used token-creation platforms in crypto.

On August 14, the same day as Chainbase's release, Pump.fun unlocked 6.87B PUMP tokens, split between its team (4.17B tokens, 2.08% of allocation) and existing investors (2.71B tokens, 2.08% of allocations).

At roughly $19.57 million, this is the single largest unlock by dollar value this week, though against Pump.fun's much larger overall market cap, it works out to under 2% of total value.

Arbitrum (ARB): The Week's Biggest Unlock by Percentage of Supply

Arbitrum is one of Ethereum's largest Layer 2 scaling networks, using Optimistic Rollup technology to process transactions cheaply off Ethereum's main chain while still settling back to it for security, and it is governed by the Arbitrum DAO.

Closing out the week on August 16, Arbitrum unlocks the largest share of max supply among all five tokens covered here:

That's 92.63M ARB, worth close to $7.37 million, or 0.93% of total max supply, the highest percentage figure in this week's group.

With over 50% of ARB's total supply already unlocked, this release continues a long, well-telegraphed vesting schedule rather than introducing any surprise.

What These Tokens Unlock Means for Investors

The percentage of max supply tells only part of the story. Chainbase's unlock, though small in absolute token count, represents 6.83% of its current market cap, the highest ratio in this group, meaning it carries more relative pressure on price than its raw numbers suggest.

Pump.fun's unlock is the largest by dollar value at roughly $19.57 million, but against its scale, that's still under 2% of its market cap.

Arbitrum and Avalanche, the two most established projects here, show the opposite pattern: meaningful dollar amounts but a much smaller percentage impact relative to their deep, established market caps and daily trading volume.

Newer, smaller-cap projects like Allora and Chainbase tend to feel unlocks more acutely since thinner liquidity means the same percentage of supply entering the market can move price more noticeably.

Team and investor allocations, present in four of these five unlocks, also carry more typical sell pressure than ecosystem or community allocations, since vested insiders are statistically more likely to realize gains than reward-based recipients.

Final Thoughts

This week's token unlocks span a wide range, from Avalanche's modest 0.23% release to Pump.fun's nearly $20 million event. Dollar value alone doesn't capture real market impact; weighing unlock size against each token's market cap and liquidity gives a clearer read than the headline token count.

Anyone holding these assets should track official project channels directly for any schedule changes, since unlock dates and allocations can shift with governance decisions.
