Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta continues to expand its global footprint with a significant investment in Vietnam, focusing on AI innovation and the development of its latest mixed reality headsets, set for release in 2025. AI Innovation and Mixed Reality Headsets

Meta Platforms, through its president for global affairs, Nick Clegg, announced the company's plans to invest in AI innovation and expand the production of its latest mixed reality device, the Quest 3S, in Vietnam beginning in 2025. This announcement followed Clegg's meeting with Vietnamese President To Lam in New York just a week earlier.

Clegg emphasized Vietnam's importance to Meta, noting that millions of small businesses and consumers in the country rely on the platform. The investment aims to bolster AI development and scale up the production of mixed reality headsets, enhancing Meta's technological capabilities and market presence in the region.

Meta Expanding Services and Market Presence

Meta is significantly expanding its presence in Vietnam by investing in Artificial Intelligence innovation and ramping up production of its latest mixed reality headsets, set to begin in 2025. The announcement, made by Meta's president for global affairs Nick Clegg, follows his meeting with Vietnamese President To Lam.

Meta plans to test its platform in Vietnamese, with the full launch of Meta AI in Vietnamese expected by year-end, building on the "Business AI for Messenger" testing initiated in June. Although Meta has not disclosed the investment size or operational details, the move highlights Vietnam's strategic importance due to its large user base and tech-savvy market.

This investment aligns with Meta's broader vision to advance AI, mixed reality technologies and crypto, aiming to enhance digital interaction and immersive experiences. By solidifying its presence in Vietnam, Meta aims to better serve the local market and drive global Artificial Intelligence and mixed reality innovations.
