XRP News today has three real stories, not just price noise. Ripple picked up a fintech award. A new card lets you spend it without selling it. And a US crypto bill is closer to a vote than ever.
Let's walk through all three. Then we'll check the price.
Ripple made CNBC and Statista's World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 list. This is the fourth year running for Ripple. The company shared the news on X on July 22.

The list covers 500 firms across eight segments. Digital assets made up 40 of those spots, about 8% of the total. CNBC and Statista said blockchain is moving past hype and into real banking use, things like payments, custody, and tokenization.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has pointed to a bigger prize behind this. He's talked about the roughly $16 trillion moved each year through slow, old-school correspondent banking, in a CNBC Interview. That's the market Ripple wants to disrupt.
RedotPay just launched an altcoin-backed card, built on the XRP Ledger and running on the Visa network. This is real XRP Ripple news for anyone who holds the token long-term.

Here's how it works. You pledge it as collateral at a 50% loan-to-value ratio. RedotPay settles the resulting credit line in RLUSD, Ripple's stablecoin, on the XRP Ledger. You spend anywhere Visa is accepted. Your altcoin stays untouched in your wallet.
Odelia Torteman, Head of Digital Assets at XRPL Commons, discussed the launch with Taylor Bossung, RedotPay's Head of Corporate Affairs. RedotPay serves over 8 million users across more than 100 countries and processes about $12 billion in yearly payment volume. Stablecoin card transactions at the company have grown 80% so far this year.
The CLARITY Act, formally H.R. 3633, would classify it as a commodity under US law. That single change could remove years of regulatory doubt around the token.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Coinbase's CEO have both pushed lawmakers to pass it. Garlinghouse has called it a consumer protection bill, one built on real anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer standards.

But the timeline has slipped. The bill missed a July 4 target. Senate Majority Leader John Thune has not yet set floor time. As of the most recent Clarity act update, no cloture motion has been filed, and the Senate has until August 7 before its recess. Republicans hold 53 seats, short of the 60 needed, so several Democratic votes are still required.
XRP Price today sits at $1.09 to $1.10, per CoinMarketCap, with a market cap near $68 billion. The token is up close to 1% over the past 24 hours. Weekly, it has traded in a fairly tight band.

CoinGlass data shows a calmer derivatives market right now. Futures liquidations over the past 24 hours totaled around $1.4 million, split between long and short positions. Open interest sits near $2.4 billion. That's a modest amount for a token this size, not a sign of panic in either direction.
To be clear, price forecasts aren't guarantees. It could hold above $1.10, or it could slip if broader crypto sentiment turns. A Clarity Act delay or an amendment fight could just as easily cool momentum as help it.
Three separate pieces are moving at once. Ripple's brand keeps growing through repeat recognition. Everyday utility is expanding through cards like RedotPay's. And regulation, the piece traders watch closest, is stuck in a narrow legislative window that closes in August.
None of these guarantee a price move. Together, they show XRP News latest coverage isn't just hype. It's infrastructure and policy, both inching forward at the same time.
CoinGabbar Analysis: Market analysts note that XRP's price has stayed range-bound even as Ripple's institutional footprint has expanded, suggesting the market is waiting on the Clarity Act outcome before repricing the asset. A bill passage before the August recess would remove a major legal overhang, according to analysts tracking the Senate calendar. A missed deadline, however, would likely push the debate into 2026's later legislative sessions, extending the uncertainty coin has traded under for years. Both outcomes remain live as of this writing.
