January 27, 2026 - Cake Wallet has added in-app Solana swaps powered by Jupiter, allowing users to swap Solana-based tokens directly within the wallet using automatic best-price routing.
Jupiter is a decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator built on Solana. It's a tool that helps you swap one token on Solana for another by finding you the best possible price across multiple exchanges.
Cake Wallet’s users are now able to swap Solana-based tokens directly in the app using Jupiter's smart routing. No need to leave the wallet, no need to sign up for another platform or rely on centralized platforms.
“The addition of in-app Solana swaps expands Cake Wallet’s multichain capabilities and reflects growing demand for seamless access to decentralized trading tools within self-custodial wallets” says Vikrant Sharma, Founder and CEO of Cake Labs, he adds “Jupiter has become one of the most popular swap platforms on Solana because it's fast, reliable, and incredibly user-friendly”
Alongside Solana swaps, Cake Wallet version 5.7 introduces native support for Arbitrum. Users can now access Arbitrum’s ecosystem, including DeFi applications, NFTs, and tokens, directly from within Cake Wallet while benefiting from faster transactions and lower fees.
The update also adds BirdPay support for Zcash (ZEC), with BirdPay, you can send Zcash to an X username or handle, and Cake Wallet takes care of resolving and completing the payment securely in the background.
Recently, Cake Wallet added Zcash (ZEC) with shielded transactions enforced by default. All Zcash transactions in Cake Wallet originate from a shielded source, keeping the financial activity private, while remaining compatible with the broader Zcash ecosystem.
The addition of Zcash comes amid repeated community requests and renewed interest in privacy-focused cryptocurrencies. In 2025, Zcash recorded one of the strongest performances among large-cap privacy assets. Monero (XMR) also posted significant gains throughout the year.
Cake Wallet v5.7, including in-app Solana swaps via Jupiter, native Arbitrum support, and shielded-by-default Zcash, is now available in the App Store and Play Store.
Cake Wallet is an open-source, self-custodial cryptocurrency wallet focused on privacy and ease of use. It supports major cryptocurrencies and privacy-enhancing technologies, including Monero, Silent Payments, PayJoin v2, Tor integration, and now in-app Solana swaps and Zcash with shielded transactions by default
