Ethereum is holding steady above $3,100 after reclaiming a key support area that previously triggered sharp declines. Market data shows growing stability as bulls defend the range, while volume, open interest and indicators outline the next potential move.

Analyst Sees Rally Toward $3,700 if $3,300 Breaks

In a new X update, analyst Ted states that Ethereum  Price Prediction 2030 is currently maintaining strength above $3,100, a level supported by consistent bids across the $3,000–$3,100 zone. 

This demand area has acted as the foundation for every intraday rebound throughout the past sessions, preventing deeper pullbacks and stabilizing price action after November’s decline.

Ted highlights $3,300–$3,400 as the major resistance band restricting upside movement. The chart shows the asset rejected from this zone multiple times over the last month, with each attempt producing sharp reversals back toward $3,150. 

He notes that a break above this area accompanied by strong volume could open a clear pathway toward $3,700–$3,800, aligning with previous structural highs from early October.

Short-term scenarios remain divided. A failure to hold $3,100 exposes the $3,000–$2,950 liquidity pocket, where demand clusters previously triggered aggressive responses from buyers. 

However, price behavior continues to favor consolidation rather than breakdown, and Ted’s outlook suggests momentum may continue shifting toward the upper range in the coming weeks.

Open Interest Rises to $17.7B as Price Stabilizes

ETH  Price Prediction is trading around $3,121, gaining modestly through the recent session while staying within a narrow band between $3,090 and $3,150. 

The tightening structure reflects cooling volatility following a series of sharp swings earlier in the month. Despite muted price movement, derivatives data shows increasing activity.

Open interest has climbed to $17.70B, up from lows near $17.63B, signaling fresh positioning across futures markets. 

Historically, combined price stability and rising OI often point to accumulation phases, with market participants preparing for a larger directional move. If OI continues to rise alongside an upward price shift, the probability of a breakout above $3,300 strengthens.

Indicators Show Neutral Momentum With Upside Potential

The MACD is trending upward, with the MACD line approaching the signal line from below and the histogram shifting into positive territory at 44.6, signaling early momentum improvement.  

While not yet indicating strong bullish acceleration, the indicator shows that selling pressure has eased significantly since the late-November downtrend.

The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) prints at 0.09, back above zero for the first time in several sessions, suggesting mild accumulation. The positive CMF aligns with the rising open interest, reinforcing a narrative of gradually improving market participation. 

However, the crypto still requires stronger volume to challenge the key resistance cluster at $3,300–$3,350, the upper boundary restricting further upside.
