ZEC is down 5.5% on the daily chart after stalling just under $1,317.80, the level it needed to clear. Can it hold $1,200? Possibly. That level sits next to the 50 EMA, and a post says on-chain activity has surged.
But price is back under the 20 EMA, and the Fed has just held rates. This Zcash Price Prediction covers the news, the liquidations and a step-by-step chart read.
Market data checked on October 29, 2026, at 09:28 IST.
The Zcash price today is down 5.5% to $1,238.32 in 24 hours, underperforming a broadly weaker crypto market, primarily driven by a negative regulatory development for its European investment products.
Primary reason: Suspension of a new Zcash ETP launch on Euronext Paris due to operational settlement issues, dampening institutional access sentiment.
Secondary reasons: Broad altcoin weakness, as reflected in a declining Altcoin Season Index, and a technical breakdown below key moving averages.
X posted that, per Blockworks' Zcash dashboard, ZEC's weekly transactions rose from about 28,000 in late July to nearly 120,000 in late September, about 4.3 times higher.
It adds that chain transfer volume and shielded supply, the ZEC held in private form, have also trended up. CoinGabbar could not verify the dashboard figures.

Zcash posted that the day marks 10 years of Zcash. It is a milestone message, not a market signal.
The Fed held its rate at 3.75%–4.00% on October 28 in a 10–2 vote, with two officials wanting a quarter-point hike. Higher rates can weigh on risk assets, but this data cannot link the ZEC drop to the Fed.
A liquidation happens when an exchange force-closes a leveraged trade because the trader can no longer cover losses. Longs bet on a rise, and shorts bet on a fall. Coinglass shows:
Window | Total Liquidated | Long | Short |
4h | $3.16M | $2.93M | $234.72K |
12h | $5.91M | $3.72M | $2.18M |
24h | $8.05M | $4.97M | $3.08M |
Longs took about 62% of the $8.05M liquidated over 24 hours and about 93% of the 4-hour total. Longs lose when price falls, which fits the sharp drop.

ZEC peaked near $1,700.87 in late September, then fell to about $1,050 by mid-October. Since then it has moved sideways, with sellers capping rallies at $1,317.80.
Zcash Trades in a Range as Traders Watch for a Breakout
Zcash (ZEC) is currently trading within a range, and a break in either direction could trigger a bigger move. Both buyers and sellers remain active, which keeps the price contained for now.
The key question is whether ZEC holds support or breaks down. A hold could lead to a bounce, while a clear break below could open the door to further losses.
EMA | Value | Position vs Price |
EMA 20 (red) | $1,244.47 | Above price, about 0.5% |
EMA 50 (orange) | $1,204.44 | Below price, about 2.8% |
Type | Level |
Highest marked level | $2,000.91 |
Resistance 3 | $1,700.87 |
Resistance 2 | $1,500.85 |
Resistance 1 | $1,317.80 |
Immediate support | $1,200.81 |
Deeper support | $1,101.45 |
Bull case: A daily close back above the 20 EMA at $1,244.47 and then $1,317.80, about 6% higher, would put $1,500.85 in view.
Bear case: If $ZEC closes below $1,200.81, which sits just under the 50 EMA, the price could slide about 11% from today toward $1,101.45.
Scenario | Trigger | Likely Outcome | Invalidation |
Bull | Close above $1,317.80 | Move toward $1,500.85 | Close below $1,200.81 |
Base | Range of $1,200.81 to $1,317.80 | Sideways near the EMAs | Break of either level |
Bear | Close below $1,200.81 | Slide toward $1,101.45 | Close back above $1,200.81 |
It would take a gain of about 62% from $1,238.32. Any Zcash forecast toward that level needs more than activity data, since $ZEC must clear $1,317.80, $1,500.85 and $1,700.87 first.
A second stall under $1,317.80 shows sellers still defend it. The level to watch is $1,200.81: A daily close below it would break the support cluster, while a close above $1,317.80 would be the first real sign of strength.
